Day 156: Mooloolaba

Fraser Island ferry - out early morning wake up call.
Left Pelican Bay for a 9am bar crossing. At that time, there was a rising 1m tide which is minimum for Fisherman's Gutter in this boat. Followed WOW and I could see Martin up by the forestay checking for shallow areas as we cleared the shallowest of the sandbanks. Got though without a hitch thanks to Martin and Monica on WOW. I recorded a track and turned that into a route for next time. This really is worth it because it takes at least an hour off the trip.

Walks On Water (WOW) leads the way.
Fast run to Mooloolaba with a following sea and northerlies to 15 knots. Tied up in the marina at 5pm with Bill and Linda's help with the lines. Bruce (Red October) was also on hand. Was invited to Valiam for dinner which was a welcome break.

Track through Fisherman's Gutter.
Location
Mooloolaba
