Left Mackay Marina a bit after 9 am and set off on the 3 hour run to Keswick. The original plan was to anchor in one of the bays on the south of the island. Those plans didn't really work out. The bays were full of that reef-spawn scum which is smelly and obscures visibility through the water so that you can't see the bommies. We worked our way round the island looking for a suitable anchorage and settled for one of the bays in the north. Anchored in 10m with all the chain out (50m). It became a bit rolly towards midnight but, all in all, it's not too bad.
